It’s basically a Strat pickguard stretched out. The unique look of the bridge within the pickguard perimeter is offset by the custom controls: Vol / Vol/ Tone/ Kill switch. Paul likes his kill switches so he can flick the guitar off and do the "Ray Davies" style front-man thing.
